SpaceX: Some Important Dates
Up to $108 billion in shares eligible to trade as lock-up tranches begin releasing

According to the SpaceX prospectus filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, on pages 258 and 259, up to 911.5 million shares of Class A common stock, worth approximately $108 billion, will become eligible to trade. This represents 20% of the total lock-up pool. The eligibility begins on the second full trading day on Nasdaq immediately following the First Earnings Release Date (August 4, 2026).
Moreover, on the 70th day after the date of the prospectus (August 21, 2026), up to another 319 million shares of Class A common stock, worth approximately $38 billion and representing 7% of restricted shares, will be released.
On the 90th day (September 10, 2026), another 7% of the lock-up shares - up to 319 million shares of Class A common stock - will be eligible for trading. On the 91st day (September 11, 2026), another up to 59.1 million shares will become available.

The remaining tranches and release dates follow a staggered pattern. On the 105th day (October 9, 2026), up to 328.4 million shares are released. The 120th day (October 24, 2026) and 135th day (November 4, 2026) each release another tranche of up to 328.4 million shares, representing the final restricted share blocks.
The 180th day (December 8, 2026) marks the main lock-up expiration date, freeing 797.6 million shares worth approximately $94 billion. This is typically the most significant date for post-IPO trading dynamics.
Further out, Day 280 (March 18, 2027) and Day 340 (May 17, 2027) each release 10% of restricted shares. The final and most consequential date is Day 366 (June 12, 2027), which unlocks up to 6.4 billion shares of Class A common stock. This represents all shares of Mr. Musk, including Class A common stock issuable upon conversion of Class B common stock, which includes 350 million shares of Class B common stock underlying options.
